Is there a Keepreel server?
No. Files go from Vimeo to your computer or phone, then to your bucket. Your Vimeo token and bucket keys stay on your device.
Do I need a paid Vimeo plan?
Yes, while you move. Vimeo only hands out original video files on paid plans, through a token with the Video Files scope. Move before your renewal date.
Are my private videos still private?
Each video's link uses a long random key nobody can guess, and the player page tells search engines not to index it. Links are not password-protected: anyone you send a link to can watch.
What do I give up compared with Vimeo?
View counts, comments and client review tools. Keepreel moves and plays your videos; it does not track viewers.
Which storage should I pick?
Cloudflare R2 charges about $0.015 per GB a month and nothing for views, which suits videos embedded on busy sites. Backblaze B2 is cheaper to store, and Bunny Storage pairs with Bunny's CDN. The bucket must be public, through an r2.dev address, your own domain, or a Bunny pull zone.
Will my old embeds keep working?
Only while your Vimeo plan is active. Swap the new codes in first; the CSV lists every old Vimeo player link next to its new code.
